Washington now rewards American panels.
The One Big Beautiful Bill (signed July 4, 2025) rewrote the rules for solar — and the biggest winners are systems built with a traceable, domestic supply chain.
Foreign-content rules have teeth
New "foreign entity of concern" (FEOC) restrictions limit how much of a system can come from China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea — and the thresholds tighten every year. Systems built on heavily imported supply chains can lose federal credit eligibility entirely. US factories keep building
